Keep Australia Beautiful Queensland was established in 1971 as an independent, not-for-profit organisation. We are Queensland's longest standing community-based, environmental organisation.
Keep Australia Beautiful's programs motivate people to enhance the quality of their local environment through personal initiative and community action.
The environmental outcomes of our programs include:

Keep Australia Beautiful Queensland's objectives are:

| To bring about a public awareness of the benefits of a clean and healthy environment.

To educate public opinion to a fuller appreciation of the enduring benefits to health, civic pride and tourism by improvement to the environment.

To conduct environmental improvement campaigns throughout Queensland.

To encourage, stimulate, foster and actively support the establishment of environmental improvement committees at local level.

To cooperate with similar organisations, interstate or on a national basis or an international level.

To cooperate with public bodies, State and local authorities and other organisations which may be concerned with the problems of environmental improvement on a national, State-wide or local basis.

To form a link between the public and the various administrations in Queensland which may from time to time be or become responsible for the policing of regulations dealing with environmental issues.

To assist in publicising preventive and punitive regulations relating to the environment.

To establish an awareness of environmental values for cities, countryside and recreation areas, work places, institutions and natural features. |
